I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in Pennsylvania with 14 years of experience providing mental health treatment. I offer research-informed empirically validated approaches to the professional counseling process and enjoy infusing them with humor, warmth, and empathy.
Specifically, my theoretical orientation & philosophy of care is based on my three favorite B’s – Beck, Bowen, and The Buddha! For me, this means primarily treating with cognitive behavioral therapies, conceptualizing from a systemic & holistic framework, and cultivating rapport with loving kindness and unconditional positive regard.
In addition to providing therapy, I enjoy the nerdier side of life (writing, reading, strategy games, all things Tolkien), thinking about space and being in nature, and spending time with my partner of 18-years and our two children.
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Pennsylvania with over 20 years of experience providing counseling services. I practice primarily from a Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) lens to help clients recognize and process how they are thinking and feeling in any given situation.
I create a safe space by connecting with clients through empathy while meeting them where they are based on their values, beliefs, and worldview. In addition to practicing counseling, I teach several graduate level counseling courses to future professional counselors.
When I am not involved in the above, my family and I love hosting friends and family for dinners around the dining room table to connect and share—I believe connection is essential to overall health and wellness.
I am a Licensed Associate Professional Counselor in Pennsylvania obtaining my licensure hours under the supervision of Dr. Caleb Thompson. I have 3 years of experience working in the mental health field and bring research-informed empirically validated approaches to my sessions.
Each session, I use a holistic person-centered approach to create a friendly respectful atmosphere that allows the needs of my clients to come first. I aspire to Carl Rogers’ core components of unconditional positive regard, empathetic understanding, and genuineness, and primarily use treatment approaches involving cognitive and dialectical behavior therapies, mindfulness, and positive psychology.
In addition to my work in the mental health field, I have been a volunteer firefighter for 10 years and an emergency medical technician for 5 years. As a mother and a wife, I adore spending time with my family any spare moment I have.
At TCC, we are proud allies and advocates for BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, & Neurodiverse Individuals and firmly believe that humanity is made better when the rights, dignity, and respect of all persons are recognized and celebrated.
